Participate

Our network is your network. It is dedicated to the education, research and innovation sectors in New Zealand, and is specifically designed and evolved to meet the needs of our members. Members can lead and participate in policy, service and network development in a variety of ways.

Policy Advisory Council

The Policy Advisory Council is a 6-person, member-nominated Council that provides advice and feedback to REANNZ on the use and development of the network.

Request for Comment process

The Request for Comment process is a collaborative, public process that enables members and REANNZ to develop and comment on information, standards and policies impacting the network.

Working groups

Working groups bring together member representatives to contribute their expertise and insight to resolve specific community-wide issues and outcomes, and are commonplace among NRENs.

REANNZ currently supports two network working groups:

If new, community-wide issues or opportunities arise, additional working groups can be formed using our Working Group Formation process (KRFC S-0003).

Member meetings

For a more informal experience, you can join our monthly REANNZ Member Open Forums. These member meetings provide an opportunity for REANNZ Members to learn about and quiz us directly on the latest developments at REANNZ, and are held via REANNZ VIdeo Conferencing.

Visit our event calendar for details so you can participate in the next meeting.

Recognising member participation

The awards programme acknowledges members of the REANNZ community who have made an outstanding contribution to the us, the community and eResearch.
