Chris splits his time between the operation and maintenance of the network and the development of new tools to support the rest of the operations teams.
Chris is especially focused on software-defined networking (SDN) products and services.
Chris spent many years performing many jobs, from cleaning windows to cutting up meat, all the while pretending to be a musician. Over the years the lack of widespread appreciation for the subtle intricacies of his personal “unfinished-and-unheard” style gradually took its toll. Cursing the philistines of the New Zealand musical orthodoxy, Chris forsook his imaginary musical endeavours and instead devoted his life to computer networks.
Chris completed a MSc at the University of Waikato, researching software-defined networks, before joining the team at REANNZ.
