REANNZ began deploying Ansible in 2016, with the initial goal of supporting the rollout of new monitoring hardware to all of our 25 network PoPs. Three years later, Ansible is woven deep into how we deploy and manage to compute resources at REANNZ. We'll cover our choices on what to automate, and how Ansible fits into a greater software ecology.
Paul Gunn joined REANNZ in 2014 as a Systems Administrator with a background in storage, networking, visual effects and chemistry. At REANNZ he is responsible for hardware, eduroam and perfSONAR.
