Amanada Barnard

Amanda Barnard is Senior Professor of Computational Science and Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives in the School of Computing at the Australian National University. She has received 11 national and international awards spanning five scientific disciplines. She is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Physics, the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Australian Computer Society, and a Certified (Computing) Professional.

 Amanda is currently on the Board of the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre (Australia), the AgriFood Innovation Institute (Australia) and CREATE (Singapore), as well as Expert Panels for the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Singapore and the European Research Council (ERC).

She was previously a Director of New Zealand eScience Infrastructure (NeSI) and in recognition of her contributions to science and education, Amanda was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2022. She joined the REANNZ Board in February 2025.
