REANNZ Update August 2021

As an organisation REANNZ has been monitoring the developing situation with current COVID-19 cases and Alert Level 4 status across the country. We wanted to offer assistance to our members and the wider community at this time, and to keep you updated on what our plans are for the continued operation of the network with the extension of Alert Level 4.

REANNZ remains classified as an essential service. We are readily available to support our members and will remain fully operational during this time. Our business continuity plan and our ability to work in a distributed way has been fully established between our teams in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch. This enables us to ensure continued operations, focusing on performance, availability and the associated services of the network as a priority for our members.

For the network, any logical issues or changes should proceed as normal. In the event of physical issues with the network, or our equipment, there may be some delays in service restoration due to the current restrictions in place. We will do the best we can while prioritising the safety and wellbeing of our team and our members. Any changes requiring physical site visits, whether to your site or ours, will be looked at on a case by case basis. We will make sure to communicate any of these issues to members who may be impacted as soon as we become aware of them.
